Lord, we lift up the people of Nigeria into Your loving hands.
In the midst of violence, fear, and heartbreaking loss, bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Comfort every family grieving, protect the innocent, and strengthen those who are suffering.

Guide the leaders with wisdom, soften hardened hearts, and put an end to every act of cruelty and injustice.
May Your light shine over the nation, restoring hope, unity, and healing.

Ezekiel Bwede Dachomo (also spelled "Dachumo" in some sources) is a Nigerian Reverend Christian pastor, activist of human rights, and preacher in Plateau State. He is best known for his outspoken activism on behalf of Christian communities that have suffered violence in Nigeria, particularly in the Middle Belt region, and his criticisms of the Nigerian government and security agencies.

Please pray aloud:

Heavenly Father, I intercede today for our pastor’s protection.

Your Word tells us the sheep will scatter if the shepherd is struck. We also know that the sheep flourish when the shepherd is secure. So God, for their sake and for the sake of this church, will you please protect our pastor?

Surround them with your mighty angels to stand guard around him this day and repel any of the attacks of the evil one. Equip our pastor with your full armor, God, that when the attacks against them come, they may stand firm. Equip them with the belt of truth, with the breastplate of righteousness, with feet readied with the good news of Jesus, with the shield of faith to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one, with the helmet of salvation, and with the sword of your Word and Spirit.

Remind them of the promises of your Word— that you are with them and you are greater than the one who is against them. That their struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. That no weapon formed against them will prosper. That they are a victor in Christ the Champion. That they are an overcomer in Christ the Conqueror.

Protect our pastor, Lord. Their family. Their house. Their health. Their finances. Their sexuality. Their humility. Their relationships. Their emotions. Their energy. Their habits. Their devotional life. Do not let the enemy gain a foothold or establish a beachhead into their life. Thwart the devil’s schemes. Cast out the forces of darkness from every area of his life and replace those spaces with the light and power of your Holy Spirit.

In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
